Portal was one of the most enjoyable video games I’ve played in a very long time. Basically, it’s a first-person puzzle game (as opposed to a first-person shooter). Your character is equipped with a gun that only fires portals, one side of a portal at a time. The challenge is to get across various rooms and through various dangers (runs, fire pits, falling blocks) until you get to the next room. A computerized female voice goads you on with promises of cake. Simple and fun. In fact, a total blast.
In all, the game took about five or six hours to beat, which is incredibly short but I happily replay the game often – if, for not other reason, then the “thumping” noise the gun makes when you fire a portal. They’ve announced Portal 2, but it’s going to be a while before we see it. That said, there is a strong and creative enough fan base that we get things like the above typographical video of the Portal end credits theme. Fantastic.

The McCain has become the pathological liar who – even when the truth is on their side – still feels the need to embellish, exaggerate and lie. Their spin is so out of control, McCain seems lost within his own campaign as if he’s being the script not in its entirety, not even page by page, but word by word.
Benjamin Netenyahu basically steals the campaign website of Barack Obama. Or maybe Obama gave it to him to use. He is a friend of Israel, right?
