Between Elsewhere and Here

Recipes

I love to cook, which is why I’ve collected some of my favorite recipes here to share. If you’ve even been over for dinner, then there’s a good chance that whatever I served up can be found on this website. If you haven’t been over for dinner yet, consider this a menu.

Someone recently asked me why I like to cook. Why? It’s fun to create. I enjoy trying new things with old recipes. For example, the recipe for butternut squash soup found here is probably the fifth or sixth version I’ve tried. That, and it feels great to be surrounded by friends seated at a table filled with food you’ve made.

Food warms the soul. And I like that. Enjoy.

RIP McCain'08 3.1.07 - 9.24.08

The McCain has become the pathological liar who – even when the truth is on their side – still feels the need to embellish, exaggerate and lie. Their spin is so out of control, McCain seems lost within his own campaign as if he’s being the script not in its entirety, not even page by page, but word by word.

Mirror's Edge

Benjamin Netenyahu basically steals the campaign website of Barack Obama. Or maybe Obama gave it to him to use. He is a friend of Israel, right?
